Bake Sale -
This semester’s Bake Sale was held on October 28th. It was an overwhelming success as not a crumb was left for Friday’s snacktiime!
Talarke students showed off their talents on October 20th. The first act was very funny as a third-grader, Ezra, acted out his morning routine. What made it funny was that what appeared to be his arms were those of third-grader, Andrés D., who really couldn’t see what he was doing. As a result, Ezra ended up having his eye brushed and being fed banana up his nose, amongst other things.
The next act had two kindergarten students, Christopher and Estéban dancing to Michael Jackson. The entertainment continued with, Gala, a preparatory student reciting two poems and second-grader Gabriel, showing his Tai Kwon Do moves which included breaking a board with his bare foot!
Third-grader, Ignacio, played guitar and did some pretty awesome break dance moves. He was followed by third-grade guitar club students, Samuel and Andrés C., who strummed their stuff accompanied by teacher Jordan.
A ballet routine was performed by first-grader, Melina, who overcame her fear and gave a great performance of a dance she choreographed herself. Another first-grader, Brenda, sang all on her own. Sisters Daniela U. and Diana and Daniela M. and Julaina also gave singing performances. The sixth-grade girls and a mixed group of kindergarten through fourth-graders put on very impressive dance routines which they choreographed and practiced on their own, mostly during snack and lunch breaks.
Nice work Talarke students! You’re all very talented and creative and should be proud of yourselves.
On October 22nd, both the soccer and volleyball team won games at home again a visiting Paraiso team. The soccer game was won soundly by a score of , while the volleyball game was very close but Talarke eked out a win in the end.
